Images of tourist attractions in north eastern Thailand

Come and experience life in the North-Eastern region of Thailand. Here you will enjoy a warmer welcome, where life is more relaxed and the scenery truly breathtaking.

Jancondotel, located in Udonthani City Centre, offers the best of both worlds for travelers; being on the doorstep to rural countryside and sites of cultural interest, yet located just 15 minutes from the airport and shopping facilities of Centara and Tesco Lotus.

From Udonthani you are well placed to visit the archaeological site at Ban Chiang, where you will see ancient ceramic and bronze sculptures.

Awe in the historic beauty of Phu Phrabat National Park, and marvel at the bronze age cave paintings dating back thousands of years.

If you love flowers, why not visit the Udon Sunshine Orchid Farm - famous for a variety of orchids, orchid derived perfumes, and plants that "dance to music".

Wang Sam Mo Forest Park is home to beautiful waterfalls and the Kaeng Mon Noi and Kaeng Hin Hom rapids, that flow against large boulders. The forest park is around 120 kilometers from Udon Thani town and is easily accessible.

Visit Roi Et and Nakhorn Ratchasima (Korat) to discover the secrets of Thai silk weaving techniques.

No visit to North-East Thailand would be complete without heading north to Nong Khai and crossing the Maekhong river to Vientiane in bordering country Laos. Further west is Loei, which is one of Thailand's most unspoiled provinces.
